On September 25, the Louisville Cardinal’s football team played an away game against the Florida State Seminoles. Louisville won with a final score of 31-23.

At the start of the game, Florida State won the coin toss and made the decision to defer while Louisville received. This worked out in U of L’s favor, when they made a touchdown with 13:37 on the clock. Junior, redshirt quarterback Malik Cunningham made a complete pass to redshirt sophomore, wide receiver Tyler Harrell for 59 yards and scored for the Cards.

U of L continued to score throughout the remaining of the first quarter. With 7:27 on the clock, sophomore kicker James Turner made a successful field goal attempt for 44 yards. Shortly after, Cunningham rushed for four yards and made a touchdown with 1:14 on the clock.

During the second quarter, Florida State attempted to catch up when they scored a touchdown with 13:30 on the clock, but it wasn’t enough to take the lead. Louisville scored another two touchdowns with the help of Cunningham; putting Louisville at a score of 31-13 going into halftime.

During the third quarter, the Seminoles were able to score another touchdown. However, Louisville remained stagnant in the third quarter with a score of 31-20.

By the fourth quarter, neither teams were able to score a touchdown. However, Florida State made a successful field goal attempt; bringing the game to a final score of 31-23.
